411 HAYDEN
RESIDENCE

Site 10
(Constructed for John M. Goppelt)
c. 1884
Architect: Ludwig Volusin Bude, Saginaw, Michigan

Hayden Street Facade, c. 1880

Designed by Ludwig Volusin Bude, plans and specifications for this two-story brick dwelling indicate that the home is constructed on a cellar remaining from an earlier building.  Constructed of brick with wood trim, the home features elaborate wood trim in the gables.

The dining room in the rear of the house, originally had a flat roof and featured a skylight over the dining room table. In the early twentieth century, a second floor was added over this area.

The curved porch on the west side of the home and the garage are both twentieth-century additions.
